Join us for yoga at DC's National Building Museum, featuring an all-level yoga flow led by instructor Beth Wolfe, accompanied by a sound bath led by Mel of Beyond Yoga, a yoga teacher certified in crystal alchemy sound healing.

For the duration of the class participants will enjoy a sound bath featuring seven crystal alchemy bowls, which promote balance and relaxation.

We will practice under the colossal, 75-foot-tall Corinthian columns in the Great Hall of The National Building Museum, America’s leading cultural institution devoted to interpreting the history and impact of the built environment.

Join the calm/cool collective in celebrating Black History Month with a yoga series honoring changemakers who’ve contributed to our collective liberation. Integrating various yoga styles, meditation and community connection, each class will be an embodied remembrance of the spirit and wisdom of specific Black luminaries in history.

Guided by Bria Hamlet, and inspired by the teachings of Audre Lorde, this session creates space for us to move instinctively and intuitively. We’ll get curious and suspend judgment about our bodies’ responses to breathwork, hip openers, and slow Vinyasa flows. This practice is designed to liberate the body and steady the mind, allowing our most authentic selves to rise.

Launched as a partnership between Mark Morris Dance Group and the Brooklyn Parkinson Group, this program offers internationally acclaimed dance classes for people with Parkinson’s Disease in more than 250 communities and 24 countries.

For these classes, join local Dance for Parkinson's Disease certified instructor Lucy Bowen McCauley for a free workshop where participants are empowered to explore movement and music in ways that are refreshing, enjoyable, stimulating and creative. Live accompaniment is provided for each class by Taylor Carson.
